This program focuses on enhancing the human capacity within the
JCCI and ultimately for the grains industry.
It achieves this through consolidating and utilising the link
between the University and the Department of Primary Industries
to expose the students to the industry in which they will pursue
careers. Within the program the exchange of information between
scientist and industry and between scientists themselves is facilitated.

The program promotes scientific and technical symposia, student
research seminars and skills workshops. These activities provide
a flow of information between producers, educators and researchers
to improve the adoption of new technologies and help develop future
directions for the centre.
A key activity within this program is the annual JCCI Symposium,
run by the students to showcase the students work and gain valuable
feedback from the industry.
